Statement from Chabad’s Security Committee
The safety and security of everyone at Chabad is our highest priority.
Since January 2025, our Security Team has been working closely with the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center (OCIAC), which has toured our new facility and provided security recommendations. OCIAC operates 24/7, providing intelligence, investigative, and technical support to Orange County's homeland security efforts.
We work closely with the Los Alamitos, Seal Beach, and Cypress Police Departments and local SWAT teams, as well as Miguel Luna, former FBI agent and Community Security Director for the Jewish Federations of Orange County & Long Beach.
You will see a Magen Am armed security officer during our services. As security needs evolve, we'll keep improving our safety measures.
We encourage everyone to remain alert and vigilant, and to call 911 in the event of an emergency.
Please note: While it is natural to be concerned about antisemitism and terrorism, you should not allow fear to debilitate you or define your quality of life. Our security professionals strongly recommend avoiding graphic videos circulating online, as they are intended to spread fear and psychological harm.
At Chabad, we take every reasonable precaution to protect our community while continuing to live proudly and confidently as Jews.
Be safe, be smart, and be proud to be Jewish.
